"Susan Sarandon is close to signing on for Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps for Oliver Stone.
In the movie, she'll play the mother of our hero, Shia LaBeouf, a young, ambitious, impressionable Wall Street trader whose life takes a turn when he falls under the influence of Gordon Gekko.
With Douglas returning to his famous role and Frank Langella also aboard, Stone will kick off shooting the new movie next month in New York."
Well.. I think it's safe to say that some decent casting, and Oliver Stone in the director's chair might just save this movie from the certain box-office doom it would have met had things been done otherwise.
